Death of Hristo Botev

Botev's band headed towards Vola Peak and then towards Okolchitsa, Kupena and Kamarata. Surrounded on three sides, the men fought all day. The fighting ceased before sunset, and the band's headquarters met to discuss their next move. Hristo Botev was killed during the meeting. Nikolay Voynovski succeeded him, and the band then moved south-east.
