Our mission

Our mission

Our mission is to present the history of Bulgaria through comprehensive accounts of the significant historical figures, events and sites that have shaped the country’s development over the centuries. We aim to provide visitors to our website with rich and accurate information about Bulgaria’s rulers, as well as the revolutionaries, voivodes, hajduks, tsars and despots who played an important role in Bulgarian history.

We also seek to present Bulgaria’s historic sites: fortresses, churches, monuments and other cultural landmarks that bear witness to the country’s rich past. Our website includes information about former capitals and periods in Bulgarian history, tracing the development of the territories held by Bulgaria over time.

We are proud to have presented many aspects of Bulgarian history and culture. We strive to keep our people’s heritage and cultural wealth alive by sharing them with the world through the history and traditions that define us.
