Vladimir Drumev Varbanov was a member of Botev's detachment.
He was born in Măcin around 1856 and was one of the detachment's youngest members. Some documents also identify him as Vladimir Todorov. He was captured with Dimitar Ikonomov's group near Litakovo in the Orhanie region on 27 May 1876 and sent to Sofia Prison. Despite his sentence, he was later released under an amnesty.
After returning to Măcin, he began organising a volunteer detachment to participate in the Serbian-Turkish War in June 1876. He was later arrested again by the Turkish authorities but released through the intercession of the prominent Tulcea notable Dimitraki Bey Teodorov.
He joined the Bulgarian Volunteer Corps during the Russo-Turkish War of Liberation of 1877–1878. After the war ended in 1878, he lived and worked as an administrative official in various places, including Măcin, Tutrakan, Sofia, Novo Selo and Asparuhovo in the Provadia region, Ruse, Razgrad and finally Kemanlar.
Vladimir Drumev died in Kemanlar on 30 October 1918, alone and without a family or descendants.
