Valko Voyvoda was a Bulgarian hajduk and leader of a hajduk detachment in the early nineteenth century, operating actively around Voynyagovo and Sashtinska Sredna Gora.

He was born in Voynyagovo in the Karlovo district in the last decade of the eighteenth century and came from the Buzdrev family.

His detachment included some of the well-known hajduks of the time:

  • Mityu Perchemliyata from Voynyagovo;
  • Hajduk Trifon from the large Gergyovtsi family of Razhevo, after whom Trifon's Well in the village of Razhevo is named;
  • Hristo from the village of Ovchelari, now Kliment;
  • Georgi from the village of Slatina;
  • and seven other fighters whose names have not been remembered.

Valko Voyvoda's detachment remained active until the mid-1840s, when Valko himself was killed following a betrayal, leading to the detachment's dissolution.
