Todor Hristov, also called Ofitsertcheto (the Little Officer), was a Bulgarian soldier and revolutionary involved in the activities of the Internal Macedonian-Adrianople Revolutionary Organisation (IMARO). He was born on 20 January 1883 in Sofia, Bulgaria. Although some sources incorrectly state that he was born in Veles, then in the Ottoman Empire, his parents were in fact refugees from that town.
Todor Hristov graduated from His Princely Highness's Military School in Sofia in 1902, receiving first prize for the best academic performance. He then began service in the 1st Cavalry Squadron Group in Sofia. In the spring of 1903, however, he left military service and joined Pito Guli's detachment in Macedonia, where he participated in IMARO's activities.
In May 1903, during the Smilevo Congress of the Bitola Revolutionary District, Todor Hristov was elected a member of the field command and military leader of the uprising in Krushevo. In the summer of 1903, during the Ilinden-Preobrazhenie Uprising, he played a key role in defending the Krushevo Republic in the Battle of Sliva.
At the end of the uprising, Todor Hristov and a group of eighteen fighters attempted to withdraw towards Bulgaria. They were discovered, however, and died in the battle on 21 September near the village of Bilyacha, in what is now the Serbian municipality of Bujanovac. Todor Hristov died alongside eleven other fighters in this clash.
