Tarkan Negavon

Negavon, or Onegavon, was a zera-tarkan who served the Bulgarian Kan Omurtag. He belonged to the Kubiar clan. According to Omurtag's commemorative stone inscription, the only evidence for Negavon, the zera-tarkan was among the ruler's close associates, known as 'fed men', or retainers. He drowned in the River Tisza during a military campaign in Pannonia, present-day Hungary, in 827 or 829.
