Ichirgu-boil Mostich

Mostich

The interesting biography of Chargubil Mostich reveals his importance in Bulgarian history during the reigns of Tsars Simeon I and Peter I. His title, chargubil, probably derives from the Bulgar title ichirgu-boil, highlighting his high position in government and the military.

The discovery of his grave in 1952 by the archaeologist Professor Stancho Vaklinov was a significant find, providing information about this important historical figure's physical characteristics. The reconstruction of his face from his skull by the anthropologist Professor Yordan Yordanov further contributes to our understanding of his appearance and nature.

Mostich Hill on Rugged Island in Antarctica is also named in honour of Chargubil Mostich, further emphasising his importance and influence in Bulgarian history and culture.
