Voivode Loshan

Loshan was a seventeenth-century hajduk who served in Petre Dundar's band during the 1630s. In 1640, he apparently abandoned brigandage and became a martolos, an Ottoman auxiliary, eventually rising to chief martolos in the Naousa region. He later returned to hajduk activity, leading thirty men around Bitola, robbing wealthy Turks and Muslim clerics and taking refuge near Naousa. He subsequently commanded a forty-four-man band in the Florina region. He was eventually captured, imprisoned and killed in Thessaloniki prison.
