Korcho Voyvoda was a well-known Bulgarian hajduk of the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, celebrated in folk poetry.
Born in Saray near Strumica, he initially worked with his father as a shepherd for the local bey. After the bey imprisoned his father, Korcho became a hajduk and attacked Strumica with his band to free him. According to folk songs, he supported Osman Pazvantoğlu against the central Ottoman government in Constantinople and took part in both the Serbian uprising and the Greek liberation movement.
