Kolyo Yonkov was a Bulgarian revolutionary and leader of a detachment of the Internal Western Outlands Revolutionary Organisation, actively involved in the struggle to liberate Dobruja.

He was born on 6 December 1891 in Derilii in the Sevlievo region. He fought in the wars of 1913–1916 and was awarded decorations for bravery.

After the Romanian occupation regime was established, he turned to the struggle for Dobruja's liberation. He led one of the organisation's detachments, the Tutrakan Detachment, actively taking part in battles and punitive actions on Romanian territory. He became a target of surveillance by the Romanian secret service and helped organise committees in the Tutrakan district.

He worked with Stefan Bozduganov and other leaders of the Internal Western Outlands Revolutionary Organisation, as well as Stefan Simeonov. As the detachment's voivode he bore responsibility for the murder of two Turkish mayors in the Razgrad region committed by his men. This led to thirteen years in prison. He was shot on 8 November 1944 by the Romanian punitive brigade in Zafirovo. After his death his name appeared in propaganda legends.
