Period: Ottoman rule

Ivan D. Bikovski was a hajduk, voivode and revolutionary. He was one of the voivodes of IMARO.

Ivan Bikovski was born in the town of Berovo, which was then part of the Ottoman Empire. He joined the Internal Macedonian-Adrianople Revolutionary Organisation (IMARO) and played an active role in its work. In 1897, under Gotse Delchev's direction, he helped establish the Sablyar bomb foundry, working as a metalworker. After the foundry was disbanded, he and other revolutionaries, including Temelko Haramiyata from Kretsovo, Stoitsa Chorbadzhiyski from Pancharevo, Atanas Serekov and Atanas Rizinski from Budinartsi, Mire from Prilep and Georgi Telegrafista from Kyustendil, set out for the interior of Macedonia. In July 1897, they joined Vasil Chochev's detachment, and Gotse Delchev assumed command, after which they carried out several operations to raise money for the organisation's needs.
