Hadzhi Georgi Hadzhiivanov was a Bulgarian revolutionary born in Turiya village in the Kazanlak region. He was known by the nickname Tulchaliyata, the Man from Tulcea, having lived in Tulcea later in life.

In 1867, he joined the detachment of the renowned Bulgarian revolutionary Panayot Hitov in the area around Kotel. This detachment played a key role in organising the struggle to liberate the Bulgarian people from Ottoman rule.

The following year, in 1868, Hadzhi Georgi Hadzhiivanov joined the detachment of two other important revolutionaries, Hadzhi Dimitar and Stefan Karadzha. He took an active part in the Bulgarian people's liberation struggle, but unfortunately died in one of the battles that same year.

Hadzhi Georgi Hadzhiivanov left an indelible mark on Bulgarian history as one of the many ill-fated Bulgarian patriots who fought for their homeland's freedom and independence.
