Dusho Zhelev Stoyanov was a Bulgarian revolutionary born in Erkech village in the Anchialo region in 1880. His education began in Anchialo and Burgas and continued at the Samokov Ironworking School, where he helped found the Trayko Kitanchev revolutionary circle with Nikola Dechev and other pupils.
During the struggles to liberate Macedonia and Thrace, Zhelev actively joined the detachments of Mihail Apostolov and Georgi Kondolov. In 1901, he served as a detachment member in the Kratovo region and later became deputy voivode of Dobri Daskalov's Tikveš detachment. During the Ilinden–Preobrazhenie Uprising of 1903, he led the technical detachment that entered the Kočani region under Hristo Chernopeev's command.
After the uprising, in February 1904, Zhelev again entered Macedonia, but his detachment was defeated. He escaped and joined Petar Samardzhiev's detachment. That same year, he participated in capturing and hanging the Albanian kaymakam of Tikveš, Ibrahim Agha. Zhelev then worked to restore the organisation in Tikveš, operating alongside Petar Yurukov.
After the Young Turk Revolution in 1908, Zhelev settled in Bulgaria and became a member of the Ilinden Organisation. In 1941, after the liberation of Vardar Macedonia, he visited the region repeatedly. Zhelev died in 1953.
