Little information survives about Komit Dristar. He succeeded Komit Taridin. Like his predecessor, Dristar transferred saints' relics: on Tsar Simeon I's orders, he brought those of Socrates and Theodore from Strumica to the church at Bregalnica. Komit Dristar also participated in the incorporation of Aegean Macedonia into Bulgaria, as confirmed by the Narash inscription.
