Period: Ottoman rule

Dimitar Babyanski Dumchev was a Bulgarian hajduk and revolutionary who became a voivode of the Internal Macedonian-Adrianople Revolutionary Organisation.

He was born in Babyani village in the Yenidje Vardar region, then part of the Ottoman Empire. His hajduk activities began in an outlaw band on Mount Paiko with his brother Hristo Babyanski and continued until 1902. He then joined IMARO and became a member of Apostol Voivode's detachment.
During the Ilinden–Preobrazhenie Uprising, he was an active voivode in the Thessaloniki revolutionary region.

He actively fought Greek andartes and, after his brother's death, took over his detachment, which controlled the Mount Paiko and Moglena area. After the Young Turk Revolution, he emerged from clandestine activity, but at the beginning of the First Balkan War the new Greek occupation authorities imprisoned him, although he refused to move to Bulgaria.

During the Second World War, he belonged to the Bulgarian Club in Thessaloniki and received an identity card. Unfortunately, communist partisans killed him in 1943.
