Andon (Doncho, Anton) Peyov, known as Kefedzhiyata, was a Bulgarian hajduk and member of the detachment led by Hadzhi Dimitar and Stefan Karadzha.
He was born in Dryanovo in 1838. In 1867, he joined the Second Bulgarian Legion, where he met Stefan Karadzha and other young men ready to fight for their homeland. He received excellent military training there, reflected in the successful engagements fought by the detachment in 1868.
Andon Peyov was killed at about the age of 29, probably during the battle at Kanla Dere or on Buzludzha. Hristo Makedonski’s notes mention the men captured at the mill near Kechi Dere, but Andon Peyov’s name is not recorded among them.
