Battle of Kajmakčalan
Year: 1916
Location: Mount Kajmakčalan, Nidže Mountains
Period: Third Bulgarian State

This battle took place on the Macedonian Front and involved Bulgarian and Serbian troops. The Bulgarian troops were led by commander Dimitar Geshov. On 30 August, the Bulgarian troops were sent towards Kajmakčalan to strengthen the military position.
The Bulgarians suffered heavy casualties and lost the battle. The Serbs also sustained many casualties. This Entente victory was not of great significance because their operation was halted by the weather conditions of the approaching winter.
