Petar Govedarov, called Govedarcheto and Iskra, was a well-known Bulgarian revolutionary and active participant in the Internal Macedonian-Adrianople Revolutionary Organisation.

He was born in 1883 in Samokov and soon joined IMARO, becoming one of the Sandanists under Yane Sandanski's leadership. In 1912, during the First Balkan War, he was elected assistant to the mayor Georgi Kotsev in Melnik, where he took up residence.

In 1920 Govedarov became involved in customs activities at Popovi Livadi in the Pirin Mountains, all proceeds from which were used to support the revolutionary organisation. He also joined the leadership of IMRO's Melnik district committee after the First World War.

In September 1924, during the Gorna Dzhumaya events, Govedarov was killed, accused of conspiring to murder Todor Alexandrov. His actions and participation in the revolutionary struggle are described in detail in various communications and reports that reveal his role in the organisation.
